PURPOSE AND VISION The intent for economic development throughout Bartow County is to attract quality businesses that will be environmentally-friendly, create quality jobs, invest in our tax base and community, be a good fit with existing industries, and be good corporate citizens. The park is prepared with light manufacturing in mind to help replace almost 3,000 manufacturing jobs lost in recent years. Some documents available for download include: |

COMMUNITY & NEIGHBORHOOD INVOLVEMENT
The Department has proceeded with
open and transparent efforts to encourage community input on the
Park. Neighborhood meetings have been scheduled and will
continue quarterly or more often as needed. There is a
mailing list for any updates on the meetings and you can email
your name and address to
econdev@locationbartow.com.
2008 Park Neighbor Meetings will be
held on the following dates. Locations will be released
closer to the date of the meeting.
Water
Sewer Gas
Electricity - Responsibility of provider chosen by park
customers. Telecommunications/Fiber Optics - Responsibility of
provider. Roads - Engineering analysis being conducted.
Entrance Sign/Landscaping Storm Water - Each parcel, as developed, will address
appropriate management regulations as part of the grading plan.
FROM VISION TO REALITY -
Creating a world-class Industrial/Corporate Park
The
speculative building is planned in conjunction with a
Development Partner to be determined. Community-issued bonds
are providing funds for property, initial development, and
utility expansion. Bonds will be repaid via property sales and
related revenues. A final price per acre has not been
established until further costs are factored, but price is not
anticipated to be less than $45,000 per acre, which is also
conducive to current market demand.
