OVERVIEW AND PROGRESS REPORT

PURPOSE AND VISION

The intent for economic development throughout Bartow County is to attract quality businesses that will be environmentally-friendly, create quality jobs, invest in our tax base and community,  be a good fit with existing industries, and be good corporate citizens.  The park is prepared with light manufacturing in mind to help replace almost 3,000 manufacturing jobs lost in recent years.

FINANCING

Community-issued bonds are providing funds for property, initial development, and utility expansion. Bonds will be repaid via property sales and related revenues. A final price per acre has not been established until further costs are factored, but price is not anticipated to be less than $45,000 per acre, which is also conducive to current market demand.
